Enjoy the lakeside view from the deck at Crestwood Acres on Lake LBJ.

With fall temperatures hitting that “just right” spot, it couldn’t be a better time to escape to Crestwood Acres on beautiful Lake LBJ. This Llano County lodging is too nice a place not to share, and there’s ample room for family and friends. A two-story home, Crestwood Acres sits on an oversized lot featuring a lush lawn, mature trees, sweeping waterfront views, and easy access to the lake.

Inside, the main living room on the second level offers sofas and a mix of occasional chairs, a small library, and a big-screen TV. From there, pass through a sliding glass door onto a balcony that extends the length of the house and rewards you with views of Lake LBJ and the surrounding Texas Hill Country.

Just off the living room, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen awaits your gastronomic endeavors. Bring as many feast fixings as you need. With two fridges, this kitchen can handle it. Generous counter space gives you and your fellow cooks plenty of room to work some culinary magic. Enjoy your repast in the tastefully decorated dining room with stunning views on the balcony or lakeside deck. (A gas grill is available for outdoor cooking.)

A smaller living area on the first level features comfortable seating, a TV, and easy access to the patio, backyard, and lakefront.

Outside, take your pick of activities. Test your fishing prowess or go for a dip in the water. Got your own watercraft? Explore Lake LBJ and then store your vessel at the dock. An electric lift is available.

For a slower pace, stake out a spot — the first-floor patio or second-story balcony — and sip a morning or evening beverage amid the lakeside panorama. Better yet, ascend to the second-level deck above the boat dock for socializing, grabbing a snack or meal, watching the sun go down and the stars come out, or just lounging.

Back inside, watch a movie, play a board game, curl up with a book, visit over drinks, and then set a date for your next visit to Crestwood Acres. It’s where to stay in Llano County
