Lake Buchanan is the largest of the Highland Lakes and a serious fishing destination. Striped bass runs in the spring bring dedicated anglers from hundreds of miles away, but the lake also holds largemouth bass, catfish, and crappie year-round. Multiple boat ramps and access points make it easy to get on the water.
