Step back in time during A Dickens of a Christmas in Llano, and celebrate the season with a magical Victorian weekend for the whole family. The three-day festival takes place between Dec. 4 and Dec. 6 and is a can’t miss for lovers of history, elegance, and fun!

The weekend kicks off with a dinner theatre event on Friday night. Guests will enjoy the original play “When Dickens Came to Llano,” written by Elke Jones. along with dinner catered by The Barrel House Restaurant. Come out and see local talent, taste delicious local food, and get into the holiday spirit. Dressing in costume is not required, but highly encouraged! 

The next day includes a full schedule of fun, including musical performances, magic shows, puppet shows, and more. Families will love the opportunities to enjoy arts and crafts, build gingerbread houses, explore the petting zoo,  and more. The morning starts with Breakfast with Santa and the evening concludes with a jolly round of caroling from local performers (everyone is encouraged to join in!).  In addition to the activities on the square, you can enjoy a holiday home tour organized by the Women’s Culture Club of Llano, as well as participating in costume contests for both humans and pets! 

Finally, plan to put on your best bonnet and come out for the Dickens Christmas Tea on Sunday, Dec. 6. The tea, hosted in the Celebration Train Car, includes a delightful English high tea, a silent raffle, and a hat contest with prizes for glitz and glamour, Christmas spirit, and more.
